We offer courses in asinotherapy.

The course content is an interaction between theory and practice.

Theory:

The background of asinotherapy.
The physics of the donkey
The behavior of the donkey
The differences of the donkey.

We relate our practical experiences and methods with our 6 donkeys to these theories. The theoretical part also includes an understanding of the donkey. We use our own donkeys as examples of how donkeys have different personalities.

On the course, we also deal with:

How donkeys differ from horses.
What special skills do donkeys have as therapy animals.
How we work with our knowledge and understanding in the interaction with the donkeys and people.
How and why the relationship between the donkey and the human is of great importance to the quality of our work.

Physical framework:

Furnishing of the stable, training room and outdoor facilities.
Which activities and exercises suit the physical conditions.
We also emphasize the importance of safety and animal welfare.

There will be testing of one's own practice as a homework assignment with subsequent evaluation. What reflections and understandings do you get from your own practice. As part of the teaching, video recordings are included to describe practice.

The course is adapted to the student's prerequisites and needs.

The durates 35 hours spread over 5 days with a minimum of 14 days apart. (both weekdays and weekends are possible.)

Price including catering and materials is DKK 6,200.

Number of participants: 1-4 people.
